PURPOSE: A lithium ion battery with a hole switch is provided to discharge gas generated from inside of the battery, to outside, when abnormal reaction occurs. CONSTITUTION: A lithium ion battery with a hole switch comprises an electrode assembly(200) which has a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and a separator; a positive electrode tab(300) and a negative electrode tab(400) which are extended from each end of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; a battery case(100) which accommodates the electrode assembly, and is sealed to protrude the positive electrode tab and negative electrode tab upwards; a punching switch which is attached to the battery case and forms a hole in the battery case by external pressure. The hole switch is installed in the center part of a front side or back side of the battery case. |
