A METHOD OF PREPARING MICROALGAE MUTANT BY ELECTRON BEAM

PURPOSE: A method for preparing mutant microalgae by using an electron beam is provided to improve the growth rate and lipid content of mutant microalgae. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing mutant microalgae comprises the steps of: culturing Arthrospira platensis; irradiating an electronic beam at an irradiation dose of 380 to 390 kGy on the cultured Arthrospira platensis; postculturing the Arthrospira platensis with an electronic beam irradiated to stabilize the Arthrospira platensis with an electronic beam irradiated; and separating from the postcultured Arthrospira platensis mutant Arthrospira platensis having a more excellent growth rate and lipid rate in cells than a wild type of Arthrospira platensis.
