A hermetic compressor is provided to commonly use a cylinder and a frame integrally formed with the cylinder for manufacturing compressors of different piston displacement by simply changing a compression chamber forming element. A hermetic compressor includes a piston(22) reciprocating straightly by driving force of a driving unit, and a cylinder(23) having a compression chamber(23a) for the piston. The cylinder has a body part(50) having a hollow part(51), and a compression chamber forming element(60) inserted into the hollow part for forming the compression chamber by an inner diameter portion thereof, wherein piston displacement is variable according to the size of the inner diameter of the compression chamber forming element. |
