EFFICIENT FUSION METHOD OF ASPERGILLUS CELL LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to identify completion of sexual reproduction when implementing sexual reproduction experiments using Aspergillus cell line, and a method to improve efficiency in fusion of the cell line.SOLUTION: There are provided a method to increase fusion efficiency of Aspergillus cell lines by increasing expression of sclerotium formation promoter SclR in at least one of the cell lines to be fused, in fusion of two kinds of Aspergillus cell lines (hypha); and a method to identify fusion cells based on criteria where two Aspergillus cell lines to be fused are transformants which are distinguishable by mutually distinctive phenotypes, and in fused cells, the phenotypes are complementing each other and/or the fused cells have two phenotypes, in fusion of two kinds of Aspergillus cell lines (hypha).
