PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve capable of avoiding increase in the size and a variable displacement pump including the solenoid valve.SOLUTION: A solenoid valve includes: a valve housing storage part 3h that is installed on a radial inner side of a core large diameter part 3b of a front core 3 and is formed to be open on the other side in the axial direction of the core large diameter part 3b; and a valve housing 8 installed on the other side in the axial direction of the front core 3, at least partially stored in the valve housing storage part 3h and having a spool storage part 8a that is a hole part extending axially and a liquid passage 3b opened on the spool storage part 8a and formed to communicate with a rod through-hole 3c.
