PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire fuse that can be suppressed from varying in pre-arcing time-current characteristics by preventing a part of a fuse element from scattering or the fuse element itself from falling, and a method of manufacturing the electric wire fuse.SOLUTION: An electric wire fuse 1 comprises an electric wire 10 including a conductive core wire 11, and a fuse element 20 made of metal having a lower fusion point than the core wire 11. The core wire 11 is provided with a caulking holding portion 50 which is formed integrally with the core wire 11 and caulks and holds the fuse element 20. |
