PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gist extracting device and a program, capable of extracting an appropriate gist out of a document.SOLUTION: Input means inputs a document constituted by a sentence including a plurality of words specified by a user. Analysing means creates a structure tree representing a plurality of words included in the sentence and a modification relation between the words by analyzing the sentence constituting the input document. An extraction means applies, when determination means determines that a clue word stored in storage means is included in the sentence constituting the input document, an extraction rule so stored in the storage means as to be associated with the clue word to the created structure tree so as to extract a partial structure tree representing a gist of the sentence out of the structure tree. |
