<p>The invention relates to a needle for draining the macular hole used in surgical ophthalmological interventions and to a process for carrying out the same. According to the invention, the needle consists of a connector () connected to a cylindrical tube () with a size in the range 0.9...0.33 mm, which is ended with a taper region, having a suction end provided with a diaphragm with micrometric dimensions. The claimed process consists in cold plastic deforming the end of a tube having dimensions close to the ones of a syringe needle, so that this receives a taper shape both to the outer side and to the inner side, followed by removing by abrasive chipping the material from the taper end until the resulting plane surface intersects the inner taper surface there resulting a diaphragm.</p> |
