PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can perform fine driving by a simple constitution, without making the apparatus large in size.SOLUTION: This apparatus includes a switch SW1 provided between a driving waveform generating part 701 and a piezoelectric element 112 and a switch SW2 provided between prescribed potential and the piezoelectric element 112. As to a nozzle which is not made to discharge a droplet, a potential state of the piezoelectric element 112 is changed with the switch SW2 put in a state of continuity, and when a prescribed time passes after the switch SW2 is put in the state of continuity, the switch SW2 is put in a state of noncontinuity, while the switch SW1 is put in the state of continuity so as to change the potential state of the piezoelectric element 112 again. Thereby fine driving is performed. |
