PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing release of powder dust to the outside of the apparatus while avoiding complexity of an apparatus configuration and an increase in size of the apparatus, and a control method of the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A printer 10 is provided with a louver for changing an opening rate of an exhausting port 20 in the vicinity of the exhausting port 20. Opening and closing of the louver is controlled on the basis of a temperature in the vicinity of a fixing roller 31 detected by a temperature sensor 32. During image forming operation of the printer 10, when the detected temperature exceeds 170°C, the louver is closed. On the other hand, when the detected temperature becomes equal to or lower than 170°C, the louver is opened. |
