PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a sleeping depth determination apparatus for determination sleeping depth from a heartbeat measured in a noncontact state.SOLUTION: The sleeping depth determination apparatus 1 is equipped with a heartbeat sensor 18 for detecting the heartbeat of an examinee in a noncontact state and a processor 10 and the processor 10 executes processing for determination the sleeping depth of the examinee from the heartbeat detected by the heartbeat sensor 18, processing for estimating the sleeping cycle of the examinee from the change time of the sleeping depth and processing for stopping the heartbeat sensor 18 at least until the change forecast time of the next sleeping depth after the completion of the acquirement of the change time used in the estimation of the sleeping cycle.
