PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact tool capable of preventing a strike failure of decreasing a striking force applied to a striker because of a decreased internal pressure of an air chamber.SOLUTION: An impact tool includes: an electric motor 13; a crank shaft 23 and a connecting rod 24 converting rotational movements of the electric motor 13 into reciprocal movements of a piston 14; an air chamber 15 generating a striking force by the reciprocal movements of the piston 14; a striker 28 forming the air chamber 15 between the striker and the piston 14, and receiving the striking force generated in the air chamber 15; a tip tool 11 to which the striking force of the striker 28 is transmitted; and an intermediate element 16 transmitting the striking force of the striker 28 to the tip tool 11. Once the tip tool 11 is pressed against an object 12, a compression spring 51 and an extruding member 50 generate a pressing force to separate the striker 28 from the intermediate element 16 and narrow the air chamber 15 before the striking force is generated in the air chamber 15. |
