PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a data structure that realizes a stable retrieval speed irrespective of characteristics of a data row.SOLUTION: A method for generating a tree-type data structure composed of plural data rows, includes: a totalizing step of counting the number of data of each data type for each row position in a certain row position of each of the plural data rows for plural data rows classified as a parent node; and a classifying step of classifying the plural data rows into plural child nodes on the basis of the number of each data type in each row position counted in the totalizing step for each data type in a predetermined row position.
