PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent gradual deterioration of a conversion rate and a selection rate to ethylene oxide even in the long time use when ethylene oxide is produced by oxidizing ethylene by using a catalyst.SOLUTION: A catalyst for producing ethylene oxide is obtained by supporting a catalytic component containing silver (Ag), cesium (Cs), rhenium (Re), and at least one element selected from a group of tungsten (W), molybdenum (Mo), chromium (Cr) and vanadium (V), on a zirconium-containing alumina carrier. The zirconium content of the carrier is 50-900 ppm. |
