603682 Disclosed is a sealed electrical connector (100) for use with a conductor (5A). The electrical connector (100) comprises a housing defining a port (144), a conductive member (110) disposed in the housing and flowable sealant (162). The port (144) includes an entrance opening (144C), an exit opening (144D) and a conductor passage extending between and communicating with the entrance (144C) and exit (144D) openings. The conductor passage is adapted to receive the conductor (5A) therethrough. The flowable sealant (162) is disposed in the conductor passage. The sealant (162) is adapted to allow insertion of the conductor (5A) through the sealant (162) to the conductive member (110). The sealant (162) thus provides a seal about the inserted conductor (5A) and the conductive member (110) as the conductor passes through the conductor passage. The sealant (162) is positively pre-pressurised by the insertion of compression members (190), prior to insertion of the conductor (5A) into the sealant (162).
