PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sulfolene compound without using a special high pressure gas installation, which can control generation of polymers.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a method for producing a sulfolene compound expressed by formula (2) by reacting a conjugated diene compound with sulfur dioxide, which comprises a step 1 of adding the conjugated diene compound in fractional amounts in a solvent while raising temperature to a range of 70 to 110°C, and a step 2 of raising the temperature up to 100 to 130°C after the addition of the conjugated diene compound in the step 1 and keeping the heat therein, where pressure of the system is kept lower than 1 MPa through the step 1 and the step 2. In formula (2), Rto Reach independently represents H or a 1-6C alkyl group. |
