PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conform a print preview image to an image to be actually printed, even when a font that is not installed on a Web server and/or a printing device is specified.SOLUTION: In a system in which a client terminal, a Web server, and a printing device are connected through a communication network, when receiving a document file from the client terminal, the Web server extracts a font type used for the document by analyzing the document file. When a font of the extracted type does not exist on at least either the Web server or the printing device (not exist on the Web server and exists on the printing device, exists on the Web server and not exist on the printing device, or exist on neither the Web server nor the printing device), a print preview image is generated on the printing device. Also, a font of the extracted type exists on both the Web server and the printing device, a print preview image is generated on the Web server. |
