Method for manufacturing an impregnated vessel prosthesis, involves allowing flow of at least one impregnating liquid and at least one solvent, preferably in the form of solution, through the lumen of a vessel prosthesis, where the liquid penetrates a layer during the partial flow, preferably in portion, penetrates into the prosthesis wall, and forms a layer under removal of at least a solvent within the prosthesis wall. An independent claim is included for vessel prosthesis.
