PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plain bearing for a structure, capable of converting vibration energy which is large kinetic energy based on a large earthquake or the like to position energy, effectively absorbing and attenuating the large vibration energy, preventing falling of a superstructure from a substructure, achieving reduction of a manufacturing cost and reduction of an occupancy area without the risk of damages, reducing transmission of large horizontal force from the substructure to the superstructure, and evading cost-requiring improvement of earthquake resistance of the superstructure.SOLUTION: A plain bearing 1 for a bridge as the one for a structure is interposed between a bridge pier 2 and a bridge girder 3 so as to support the bridge girder 3 as a superstructure to the bridge pier 2 as a substructure freely movably in a bridge axial direction H (called an H direction, hereinafter) in a horizontal direction. |
