PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a configuration and suppress an increase in costs by providing a stirring member that prevents toner packing by floating on the surface of developer and moving back and forth in association with the vertical movement of the surface, without using a stirring member operated by a swinging mechanism that causes an increase in the number of components, complexity of a configuration, and an increase in costs.SOLUTION: A developing device includes a developing unit 20, a developer supply unit 40 that supplies powder developer to the developing unit, and an opening 52 that is provided at a connection part of both units and is for supplying developer. The developing device further includes a stirring member 60 arranged inside the opening that floats on developer T in the developing unit, and moves back and forth between the developing unit and the developer supply unit in association with the flow of the developer to eliminate residual developer inside the opening. |
