PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents toner from being clogged in a duct that extends from the vicinity of a developing container to a dust collection unit, and satisfactorily recovers scattered toner.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes a dust collection unit 50 that collects a toner that passes in a duct 42 together with an air stream generated by a first fan 51, and a connection part that is provided in the middle of the duct 42 and is capable of retaining a part of the toner that passes together with the air stream.
