5-ACETOXY-(E3)-3-PENTENYL-METHOXYMETHYLETHER AND PRODUCTION METHOD OF (E3)-3-ALKENYLACETATE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide 5-acetoxy-(E3)-3-pentenyl-methoxymethylether producible in a common reaction installation; and a production method of (E3)-3-alkenylacetate using the same.SOLUTION: A 4-formyl-(E3)-3-butenyl-methoxymethylether is reacted with a reducing agent, and the obtained 5-hydroxy-(E3)-3-pentenyl-methoxymethylether is reacted with an acetylating agent to produce 5-acetoxy-(E3)-3-pentenyl-methoxymethylether. The 5-acetoxy-(E3)-3-pentenyl-methoxymethylether is subjected to coupling reaction with a Grignard reagent, and the obtained (E3)-3-alkenyl-methoxymethylether is treated with an acid, followed by reaction with an acetylating agent to produce (E3)-3-alkenylacetate.
