The present invention provides a camera shooting method which reduces a difference between a horizontal size of an object seen with the eyes and a horizontal size of the object displayed on a screen, by horizontally reducing only a size of an image in a rightward/leftward direction which is carried out with a reduction ratio according to a focal distance of the object and displaying the reduced image, when a close-up photograph is taken by a camera. The camera shooting method according to the present invention includes the steps of: when photographing an object, detecting a focal distance of the object by a control part; and horizontally reducing a size of an image in a rightward/leftward direction by the control part with a predetermined reduction ratio according to the focal distance detected, and displaying the reduced image. The rightward/leftward direction of the image is determined on the basis of a rotational position of the camera screen that is detected through a gravity sensor by the control part when the object is photographed.
