PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine allowing an operator to easily set a position on processing cloth to be sewn.SOLUTION: A sewing machine 1 comprises a receiver which can receive an ultrasonic wave. The receiver can receive the ultrasonic wave transmitted from an ultrasonic wave pen 91, when any position within a region which can be specified by the ultrasonic wave pen 91 is specified. When an embroidery device 2 is attached to the sewing machine 1 and is used, a sewable region of processing cloth 100 held by an embroidery frame 35 is larger than the region which can be specified. The sewing machine 1 accepts an input operation of selecting any region of a plurality of division regions. The sewing machine 1 controls the embroidery device 2 to transfer the embroidery flame 35 so that any of the accepted division regions is included within the region which can be specified. The receiver receives the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the ultrasonic wave pen 91 positioned within the selected division region, and the sewing machine specifies a position specified by the ultrasonic wave pen 91. |
