PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a potential difference between pixels adjacent to each other from being greater than that before correction when the correction is performed.SOLUTION: In a case where a gradation difference &Dgr;1 between a pixel 110a and a pixel 110b and a gradation difference &Dgr;2 between the pixel 110b and a pixel 110c are a threshold value or more, and &Dgr;1 and &Dgr;2 satisfy an expression of &Dgr;1>&Dgr;2, an image processing circuit corrects a gradation value of the pixel 110a to a gradation value +&Dgr;1×(1-α) of the pixel 110b, a gradation value of the pixel 110b to a gradation value +&Dgr;2×(1-α) of the pixel 110c and a gradation value of the pixel 110c to a gradation value +&Dgr;2×&bgr; of the pixel 110c, where 0≤α and &bgr;≤0.5. A gradation difference &Dgr;1a after correction between the pixel 110a and the pixel 110b satisfies an expression of &Dgr;1a>&Dgr;1, and a gradation difference &Dgr;2a after the correction between the pixel 110b and the pixel 110c satisfies an expression of &Dgr;2a>&Dgr;2. Further, an expression of &Dgr;1a>&Dgr;2a is satisfied after the correction, and a relation that the gradation difference &Dgr;1a between the pixel 110a and the pixel 110b is greater than the gradation difference &Dgr;2a between the pixel 110b and the pixel 110c is maintained in the same manner as that before the correction. |
