PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrocarbon based fuel cell electrolyte which, while maintaining high heat resistance and high wetting restriction effects, can control a micro phase separation structure.SOLUTION: The fuel cell electrolyte is a block copolymer composed of an ion conductive segment whose main chain consists of an aromatic skeleton and a non-ion conductive segment whose main chain consists of an aromatic skeleton. It is preferable that the composition ratio of the ion conductive segment to the non-ion conductive segment is in a range in which the block copolymer is hardly water soluble or not water soluble. Also, it is desirable that the composition ratio of the ion conductive segment to the non-ion conductive segment is in the range of unit ratios from 1:9 to 3:7. Furthermore, it is desirable that a variance ratio which is the ratio of a weight average molecular weight to a quantity average molecular weight is in the range from 1 to 1.50. |
