PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seawater desalination device capable of efficiently evaporating seawater without needing considerable energy and time even when starting up the desalination of seawater by a vapor compression method, and to provide a seawater desalination method using the device.SOLUTION: A seawater desalination device is provided with: an evaporator 2 disposed at the end of a seawater feeding flow path 7; a compressor 3 disposed in a distilled water taking-back path 5 through which a seawater vapor or distilled water generated from the evaporator 2 is circulated; a heat exchange part 5a which forms a part of the taking-back path 5 and passes through the inside of the evaporator 2; a return flow path 11 which forms a circulation flow path 16 cooperating with the heat exchange part 5a using the upstream and downstream sides of the heat exchange part 5a as the outflow and inflow ends 13 and 12; a heater 19 which is disposed in the return flow path 11 and heats a water tank 17 storing a water to be heated, the return flow path 11 or the inside of the water tank 17; a concentrated water taking-back path 9 through which the concentrated water of seawater generated by the evaporator 2 is circulated; and a heat exchange unit 4 for heat-exchanging among the seawater, distilled water and concentrated water. |
