PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system that uniformly sets a printing environment of a computer device connected through a network.SOLUTION: The printing system is connected to a printer device 2 and a host computer 1 through a network. The printer device 2 has a setting file 50 for defining an operation environment for using the printer device 2. The host computer 1 comprises an install management unit 9 for managing installation of software for using the printer device 2 to the host computer 1. The install management unit 9 reads the setting file 50 from the printer device 2 through the network and installs a printer driver 4 or printer utilities 3, 5, 6 corresponding to the definition of the setting file as software for using the printer device. |
