摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of preventing an adverse effect on communication due to micromotion without micromotion of a ferrule even when external force acts thereon.SOLUTION: An optical connector includes: a connector housing which accommodates an optical transceiver and has a ferrule housing chamber; a cover 10 which is mounted on the connector housing and covers the ferrule housing chamber; and a ferrule 20 which is housed in the ferrule housing chamber. The external peripheral surface of the ferrule 20 and the internal peripheral surface of the cover 10 are provided with a ferrule side fitting portion 25 and a cover side fitting portion 15 which are fitted to each other and allow movement in the connecting direction of the optical transceiver by pressing force and prevent movement in the opposite direction, respectively. The ferrule side fitting portion 25 and the cover side fitting portion 15 are alternately provided with protrusions 25a and 15a and grooves 25b and 15b which are meshed with each other, respectively. Surfaces forming the protrusions 25a and 15a and grooves 25b and 15b are a taper surface and a vertical surface, respectively.
