The device (3c) has a starter output terminal (OUT1) outputting a first signal to drive a starter (13). Additional device output terminals (OUT2, OUT3) output a second signal to drive a generator (21) and a compressor (31). A starter determining module (43) and an OR-logic module (50) bring the generator and the compressor into a driven state to adjust a motor speed (NE) or motor rotational angle. The determining module drives the starter in response to a third signal relevant for restarting the motor after the generator and the compressor are driven under control of the determining module.
