A light source apparatus comprises: excitation light sources (12 and 13); a phosphor unit (14); a dichroic mirror (51a) that reflects excitation light supplied from the excitation light sources (12 and 13) toward the phosphor unit (14) and that transmits fluorescent light emitted from the phosphor unit (14); and a collimator lens (15) that is provided between the dichroic mirror (51a) and the phosphor unit (14) and whose focal distance varies according to the wavelength. The phosphor unit (14) is arranged at a position determined by the focal distance of the collimator lens (15) for the fluorescent wavelength. The collimator lens (15) comprises low-dispersion lenses (15a and 15b) and a high-dispersion lens (15c).
