METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF GAS-RECOVERY PROPERTIES OF CONTAINER ROCKS

A method of the determination of gas recovery properties of container rocks includes capillarimetric investigations by plotting curves of capillary pressure by method of centrifugation of fluid-saturated samples of core, and determination of residual water and gas saturation. Samples with residual water are additionally saturated with purified gas, with carrying out stepped displacement of gas at increasing displacement pressures. Displaced volumes of water and gas are determined at each pressure step, by the data obtained curves of capillary pressure are plotted, with determination of residual water and gas saturation. From capillary pressure curves obtained for water and gas the effective dynamical porosity of the samples of core are calculated. Coefficient of gas recovery is determined as ratio of dynamical porosity to effective porosity.
