PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain three-dimensional information concerning positions, rotation or the like in swimming motion allowing an object whose size is several micrometers to perform in the neighborhood of a boundary. SOLUTION: Two sets of microscope units comprising light sources, objective lenses, and cameras are arranged so that optical axes are mutually orthogonal and the objective lenses do not collide. Images from two directions are obtained concerning the same observation object by synchronizing the images of the two cameras to take in a hard disk so as to obtain three-dimensional information. So as to be measured even when the object is out of a focus face of the objective lens and the images are unclear, a measuring coordinate value by a method of undetermined multipliers is corrected. In order to prevent the images from becoming unclear due to reflection of light from the boundary, a chamber so that an area of the boundary is narrow is prepared by using glass.
