PURPOSE: A banking machine and a method of deposit transaction are provided to reduce the number of times a medium is inserted and deposit transaction is processed. CONSTITUTION: A medium input/output part (13) in which the media including banknote and check is inserted and returned in a lump. A discriminating part (20) recognizes the inserted banknote and check through the medium input/output part. A temporary banknote stacking part (30) piles the recognized banknote temporarily. A temporary check stacking part piles the recognized check temporarily. Bank note storing boxes (41, 42, 43) store the deposited banknote. A check storing box (44) stores the deposited check. A controller controls the inserted medium to be recognized in sequence by the discriminating part. The controller returns the medium exceeding the limit amount to the medium input/output part and performs the deposit transaction of the medium which is not excess of the limit amount in one deposit transaction. |
