<p>An access panel assembly comprises a frame 10 for mounting in an opening in a wall or ceiling and a door 11 for mounting in the frame. The frame includes inwardly projecting T-shaped formations 12 for cooperating with clip formations 14 located on the door. A seal 15 is provided between the door and the frame. The door may be reversible and may have an air-tight sealing engagement with the frame in both its possible positions. The door may be rectangular with two or more clip formations along each edge of the door. The clip formations may be formed from a resiliently deformable plastics material capable of subjecting the seal to a controlled degree of compression. The door may also include an inwardly extending lip 13 that fits with the frame.</p> |
