PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at a low cost a microscope apparatus able to supply a smallest quantity of liquid required for an immersion objective lens. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a specimen observing method using an inverted type microscope with the immersion objective lens and a stage on which a specimen is mounted, and relates to an inverted type microscope system. The apparatus monitors the time elapsed from the time when a liquid is supplied to the immersion objective lens previously, a moving distance, and whether an observing point has been changed or not.
