Method for operating a cutting machine

The method involves representing the programmed cutting dimensions and the programmed auxiliary functions in two different portions on a touch screen of a display (10) of a cutting machine (1). The programmed auxiliary functions are represented as the foreground image in black color with high contrast and the programmable auxiliary functions are represented as the background image in different color with low contrast. The representation of programmable auxiliary functions combined with programmed auxiliary functions is performed in the overlapping area of display.
