PURPOSE: An azimuth thruster having a cavitation reduction structure is provided to remarkably reduce the cavitation of a propeller by reducing the flow of fluid passing through a casing column part of the thruster. CONSTITUTION: An azimuth thruster having a cavitation reduction structure comprises a casing column part (11a) coupled to the body of a ship. An acceleration duct (20) having a through hole (21) is formed on the outer surface of the casing column part. The through hole is formed in a funnel shape to be used as a nozzle.
