摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus for selectively acquiring a grey matter magnetic resonance image and a magnetic resonance image acquiring method using the same are provided to remove fundamentally the necessity of long inversion time by applying an inversion pulse for controlling a white matter image signal, thereby innovatively shortening the whole image time. CONSTITUTION: An inversion pulse generating unit (100) applies an inversion pulse about an organism in order to suppress a white matter image signal. An excitation pulse generating unit (200) applies an RF excitation pulse in order to excite magnetization in the organism after reverse time by the inversion pulse. An image signal receiving part (300) respectively obtains a first final image signal and a second final image signal from a first echo train and a second echo train in an RF refocusing pulse train. A video generator (400) produces a grey matter image from the first final image signal and the second final image signal. A magnetization preparation part (500) prepares longitudinal axis magnetization before the magnetization preparation part applies a first inversion pulse.
