[Class 136 (iii)] [Also in Group XV] A scooter or similar article comprises a pair of identical trucks 12, 13 facing in opposite directions, each truck comprising a pair of wheels 25 mounted on an axle 26, a bolster 27 connected to the axle and a supporting bracket 28 connected to the bolster, the co-operating bearing surfaces of the bolster and bracket lying in a plane at 45 degrees to the horizontal and the bearing surface 29 of the bracket 28 comprising a flat, relatively broad plate having a pair of shoulders 50, 51 about either of which the bracket 28 may pivot on the bolster 27. The bracket and bolster are connected by a pin 35 passing through holes in the bolster 27 and through slots 33, 34 in flanges 31, 32 on the bracket 28. A tension spring 40 is connected to the pin 35 and passes through an aperture in the bearing surface 29 of the bracket 28 to be held by a lug 41 fixed to a plate 20 on which the truck 12 is mounted. |
