PURPOSE: A power supply device and an image forming device are provided to reduce vibration noises from a transformer in a low load operation and to prevent a loss due to a switching operation. CONSTITUTION: A primary side is insulated from a secondary side in a transformer (104). A switching unit (108) drives the primary side of the transformer. A control unit (110) controls a switching operation including a period in which a switching unit is turned on several times by outputting a pulse signal to the switching unit. An output control unit (130) continuously outputs the pulse signal to the control unit in the period in which the switching unit is turned on several times. A first changing unit changes a section between turn-on periods in which the switching unit is turned on several times.
