The injector assembly (1) has an injector (1a), which is provided with a highly pressurized fuel, for operation. The injector comprises an axially displaced nozzle needle (4), by which a nozzle needle valve (2) is formed, through which the fluid is brought out in dependence of the position of the nozzle needle. An actuating element (12) generates pressure in the fluid, which is increased with respect to system high pressure. The injector assembly is formed to be effective against the pressure force provided by the increased pressure in the opening- and closing direction of the nozzle needle. An independent claim is included for a fuel injector with a control unit.
