PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier system capable of arranging a passing prohibiting gate by a simple facility.SOLUTION: A carrier system 1 includes a predetermined passage 2 and carriers 3. The carrier 3 has a travel control part 30 for controlling travel in the passage 2, a driving part for driving for travel in response to control from the travel control part 30, and communication parts 31 and 37 for making communication between the carriers. In a passing prohibiting gate mode for using the carrier 3 as at least a part of a passing prohibiting gate, the carrier 3 is maintained so as to be communicable in at least the communication parts 31 and 37, and supply of a power source is stopped to motors 18 and 19 for driving driving wheels 17 and 20. |
