PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosion-proof valve for quickly discharging gas accumulated in a body to the outside of the body by allowing the explosion-proof valve to be broken through to break the explosion-proof valve all at once in order to prevent gas accumulated in the body from rapidly increasing inner pressure to cause an electrochemical device to explode or fire beforehand in the explosion-proof valve formed on a sealing plate made of metal constituting the body in a hermetic type electrochemical device, such as a capacitor and a lithium battery having an electrolytic solution in the body.SOLUTION: An explosion-proof valve 2 is subjected to injection molding integrally with the sealing plate 1 so as to block a gas discharging hole 23 of the sealing plate 1 with a thermoplastic valve part 21. In an explosion-proof valve for a hermetic type electrochemical device, the valve part 21 is formed by including a particulate filler in which a diameter D is 15 μm or below and a ratio (L/D) of the diameter to length L is 2 or below in the thermoplastic resin. |
