PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weld defect detection method and weld defect detection device which can simply extract an indication unit and identify an echo of the extracted indication unit.SOLUTION: A weld defect detection method and weld defect detection device include the steps of detecting an ultrasonic signal passing through a portion to be detected, adjusting a detection level according to the detection level of a detection signal with the shortest propagation path, and determining the increase of wave number from the waveform of a signal detected at the adjusted level. |
