摘要 <p>The present invention provides a copper clad aluminum busbar comprising an aluminum base (22) and a copper outer layer (21 ). The copper outer layer (21 ) comprises two flat copper layers (211 ) and two copper round ends (212); and the copper round end (212) is thicker than the flat copper layers (211 ). The copper round end (212) can be for example a semi-cylinder. The copper clad aluminum busbar may further comprise a intermediate layer (23) between the copper outer layer (21 ) and the aluminum base (22). The intermediate layer (23) can be zinc or nickel. And the thickness of t intermediate layer (23) is 5mum - 200 mum. The copper clad aluminum busbar can be used for transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers or switchgears. The copper clad aluminum of present invention can pass the temperature-rise test of high voltage switchgear with the dumb-bell copper clad aluminum busbar, whereas the prior copper clad aluminum cannot pass the test. And it improves the adhesion between copper outer layer and the aluminum base for better machining performance. The cost saving for substituting copper busbar is significant.</p>
