<p>Model predictive control (MPC) is implemented on a steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) injector-producer well pair. MPC uses measurements and models to predict future well and reservoir behaviour and optimize the changes on the manipulated variables to keep the controlled variables at their targets and within given constraints.</p>
