PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a linear body from being broken when the end portions of the linear body formed of an amorphous material are electrically connected to terminals.SOLUTION: A connection device is configured, when end portions 301a and 301b of an amorphous wire 300 are each placed on a pair of terminals 200a and 200b, to be capable of electrically connecting the end portions to the terminals, respectively. The connection device comprises: a pressing member 12 for pressing solder fillings 400a and 400b that are individually formed on the terminals in such a manner as to cover the end portions; a pressing mechanism for allowing the pressing member 12 to press the solder fillings; and a controlling unit for controlling the pressing mechanism. The controlling unit controls the pressing mechanism to allow the pressing member 12 to press a region including at least a portion of the amorphous wire 300 to thereby allow the end portions to crimp the terminals for achieving electrical connection, the region being positioned nearer the end portion than an edge portion 401 that is near a center portion 302 in the longitudinal direction of the amorphous wire 300 in the planar view of the entire region of the solder fillings, when the pressing member 12 is not pressed. |
