PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for a planar speaker having high efficiency, high performance, high degree of design freedom and high practicability.SOLUTION: A voice coil is formed by zigzag-bending a band-shaped conductor along a magnetic path comprised of a collection of quadrangle-shaped magnetic poles. A zigzag coil is formed so that four sides of a quadrangle have an identical winding direction and adjacent quadrangles have mutually reverse winding directions. A group of the quadrangle-shaped magnetic poles fitted in a quadrangle of the zigzag coil is disposed on a flat plate made of a magnetic material. The magnetic poles adjacent to each other are arranged or magnetized so as to have reverse polarity.
