PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generally equalize deformation formed between a thick section and a thin section in subjecting a taylored blank material to press forming.SOLUTION: A lower die 18 of a press forming apparatus includes a first inclined wall 28a, a second inclined wall 30a, and a first mounting surface 36 and the second mounting surface 40 continuing to the first inclined wall 28a and the second inclined wall 30a through a first folded section 34a and a second folded section 38a. A first step 32a is formed between the first inclined wall 28a and the second inclined wall 30a, and a second step 42 is formed between the first mounting surface 36 and the second mounting surface 40. Meanwhile, a step does not exist between the first folded section 34a and the second folded section 38a. When a taylored blank material is set on the lower die 18, a thick section thereof is supported by the first inclined wall 28a, the first folded section 34a and the first mounting surface 36, and a thin section is supported by the second inclined wall 30a and the second mounting surface 40 and departs from the second folded section 38a. |
